Hollywood has nothing to fear from Elon Musk — at least in video production values. But the SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO knows how to put on an electric-car Christmas light show.

Reactions to the video, apparently a second one replacing an earlier version:
- “So this is what is holding up deliveries?”
- “They need to put this as an option on the touchscreen. Imagine going down the high way at 80 miles an hour. X-mas mode, ON”
- “Please make this an Easter Egg on the Model X. if 3 ever meet in a car park, and they are all unlocked at the same time maybe? then they start to play music and perform!”
“Tesla doesn’t spend money on ads, but that doesn’t mean the company won’t share a short promotional video or two, especially around the holidays. … As the music plays, the headlights flash to the music, but after about a minute the performance gets a little more interesting with the Falcon Wing doors opening and closing to the beat of the song.
“Considering 2015 was all about getting the Model X into production for Tesla, the video is a fitting way to close out the year and showcase the car’s most impressive feature: its Falcon doors, which allow for seamless access in and out of the vehicle.”
