People went gaga over the cold opening of “Saturday Night Live” — as much for the jacket worn by Sarah Palin impersonator Tina Fey as the Donald Trump endorsement parody.
“Some fans have said Tina Fey’s impression of Sarah Palin is at times near-identical to the real thing. In her most recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, that similarity went right down to her clothing choice, as the comedian wore a beaded bolero jacket that looked exactly like the one Palin wore to endorse Donald Trump just four days earlier.
“The most impressive part? The Milly jacket was sold out, so SNL‘s costume designers had to gin up a duplicate on a tight time frame.”
SNL showed backstage work on what one tweet called the “psycho jangle jacket.”

Many remarked on the twin outerwear.
@MarkDiStef
Not sure what’s worse:
* Tina Fey looks EXACTLY like Palin
* Palin said those EXACT words
* Tina Fey found the EXACT same jacket

What’s most funny about Tina Fey doing #SarahPalin on #SNL is that they found another jacket like that. pic.twitter.com/loHSnjcJtl

Oh God, stop everything. Tina Fey is Sarah Palin-ing on #SNL. Psycho jangle jacket and everything.

.@nbcsnl if you do have Fey on as Palin then your costume designer can just make the jacket out of paper clips.
