Donald Trump may consider Huw Parkinson of Australia a loser. But the video editor and YouTube prankster’s latest mashup is winning the Web.
The GOP front-runner is inserted in “Game of Thrones” as a tough-talking king who makes other characters roll their eyes.
The Daily Beast noted Trump’s role in the video tour-de-farce:
“There he is, rudely turning Daenerys Targaryen and her vaguely Muslim-looking cohorts away from the gates of Meereen. Trump confuses the hell out of Tyrion Lannister and most significantly, argues against letting the Wildlings who live north of the Wall into Westeros.”
“’We have no border, we have no control, people are flooding across,’ Trump says to the men of the Night’s Watch. ‘We need to build a wall. And it has to be built quickly.’ Of course, in the world of Game of Thrones, there already is a giant wall of ice that would impress even Trump. It even has a ‘beautiful, big fat door’ like he’s always wanted.
This whole time, maybe Donald Trump was just auditioning for Game of Thrones.”
Valar Morghulis wrote in The Confluence: “I try to stay out of the minds of Trump voters. In there, the world doesn’t make sense, up is down, things happen for no apparent reason and they seem to be unreasonably fearful. It can make you feel a bit like Tyrion Lannister trying to be reasonable with people who will kill off the best characters in pursuit of an iron throne.”
