Chris Brown, the rhythm and blues singer who was sentenced to probation for beating then-girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna in 2009, could face a disturbing the peace charge after allegedly riding an all- terrain vehicle near his Tarzana home.
A neighbor complained, first to Brown, then to police that Brown was riding an ATV on Citrus Ridge Drive on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The neighbor called authorities when Brown met his complaint with obscenities, Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Paul Vernon told the newspaper.
Officers rang the bell on Brown’s gate, but were told by someone inside that they could not come in and should call the singer’s lawyer, according to The Times.
The case will be presented to the City Attorney’s Office for the possible filing of disturbing the peace charges, Vernon said.
Police have been called to Brown’s home at least five times since he moved there last year, Vernon told The Times.
