After worldwide derision, Webb on Monday confessed that, yes, he forgot to close some risqué tabs in his web browser before taking a screen shot.
Caught with his pants down, Webb later posted to Facebook: ‘THANKS FOR THE TAB CHECK, RANGER BUDDIES!’

After quoting the Bible, he noted: “Today’s notorious post reached almost 200,000 people, … But the truly amazing thing about today was that ‘I saw also the Lord, high and lifted up,’ and I was very much moved by the love and support of those who expressed their encouragement and support, even some in the national and local press.”
He also noted his Twitter and Facebook engagement growth and said: “Perhaps, what does not kill you does make you stronger.”
Meanwhile, mikewebbforcongress2016.com — his campaign site — has expired, which included a section called For Your Viewing Pleasure.
Despite enjoying a short burst of attention, Webb is likely to fade from the political scene. He failed to get the Republican nomination, so he’s running as an independent.
Ballotpedia.com rates this race as “safely Democratic,” favoring incumbent Don Beyer in the November election.
