In “Mrs. Robinson,” Simon & Garfunkel sang: “Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio. A nation turns its lonely eyes to you (Woo, woo, woo)”

Nearly 50 years later, Kim Kardashian tries to offer solace in the wake of police-involved shootings, issuing a statement after the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

As Huffington Post noted: “On Friday morning, the reality star put out a brief letter entitled “#BlackLivesMatter” on her website, stating that she was ‘appalled and completely heartbroken’ by the deaths of Sterling and Castile.”

Kardashian concludes by saying: “Hashtags are not enough” and “This must end now.”

And if that doesn’t do the trick, a sexy selfie might help.

“On Thursday, following the deadly police shootings, the reality TV star and mother of two took to Instagram to share yet another photo of herself wearing minimal clothing,” HuffPo said.

To which a lonely nation member replies: “I wonder whether Kim Kardashian will post a bikini pic or a topless pic after this latest tragedy” (in Dallas).
