Rapper Tyga may avoid jail time after reaching a financial settlement with his former landlord stemming from an unpaid $480,000 judgment for back rent and damages at a Malibu estate, an attorney for the property owner said Thursday.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Nancy Newman issued an arrest warrant for Tyga, 26, when the rapper failed to appear at a hearing to be questioned about his finances and failure to pay the judgment.

Danny Abir, attorney for landlord Gholamreza Rezai, told City News Service today that a settlement had been reached “to the mutual satisfaction of the parties.” He said the terms of the settlement were confidential.

Rezai went to court in 2012 claiming that Tyga missed a rent payment, skipped out on his lease and left the home in need of repairs. Earlier this year, Newman approved a roughly $480,000 judgment against the rapper, which went unpaid.

Tyga was recently reported to have purchased his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, a $200,000 car for her birthday.

Abir said his legal partner, Boris Treyzon, will appear in court Friday and ask that the bench warrant for Tyga’s arrest be quashed in light of the settlement.
