Vin Scully was trending Monday on Facebook for telling the story of how the Beatles escaped Dodger Stadium after their performance 50 years ago Sunday.
MLB recounted the tale by the short-timer announcer:
“Scully spent part of the bottom of the fifth telling a tale that fits in perfectly with Beatles lore. After Sunday, the Dodgers have only 13 home games remaining on their regular-season schedule. That means there are only 13 more chances to hear Scully tell stories like this on the air, before he calls it a career after 67 amazing seasons in the booth for the Dodgers.
“Try to catch as many of those remaining games as you can, as there’s no such thing as too much Vin.”
