If Taylor Swift is ever accused of murder the morning of Aug. 29, 2016, she has a bulletproof alibi: She had jury duty.

The singer showed up at a Nashville courtroom and was called for a trial. She eventually was dismissed. But not before social media was flooded with reports from fellow would-be jurors.

As the New York Daily News reported: “The case, per WSMV reporter Hayley Mason, involved charges of aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault.

“Swift made it to the next round of selection after disclosing she was in the pre-trial stage of a civil sexual assault case (presumably her ongoing court case with a DJ she alleges groped her), stating she could remain impartial, Mason said. Regardless, she was reportedly dismissed in the early afternoon.”
