If you love Disneyland but miss the old Main Street Electrical Parade, 2017 is going to be a great year for you.
Disneyland will bring back the popular nightly attraction starting Jan. 20 after a 21-year break.
The lights, music and happy Disney characters will be making their way down Main Street every night – cold temperatures or not – through June 18.
The Electrical Parade was a major, popular attraction from 1972 until 1996. There was a new parade each night for a time in 2015 to celebrate the Anaheim park’s 60th anniversary, but it wasn’t the same that millions of people fondly remembered.
The only question in some media reports was how fans who flocked to the old parade before it ended “forever” for a last look in 1996 will react to the event coming back.
Disneyland even sold individual bulbs from the last nightly parades that year, marketing them as collector items, according to the Los Angele Times.
