Were he still alive, rap legend Tupac Shakur would be 45 — and awaiting induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
As Rolling Stone reported: “News of Snoop Dogg’s involvement first surfaced Sunday in a TMZ report that stated the rapper and potentially Dr. Dre, who was enshrined in the Rock Hall with N.W.A in 2016, would participate in a three-song musical tribute to Shakur that included the hit single ‘California Love.’ However, Rolling Stone has learned that the final lineup for the all-star Shakur tribute has not been cemented.”
HipoHopDX added: “Snoop Dogg and 2Pac first collaborated on the track ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted’ from 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me album. Snoop has also credited himself with bringing 2Pac to the now-defunct Death Row Records at the height of its dominance in the industry in the ’90s.”
