Musician Chris Cornell’s death has been ruled a suicide — a morbid end for the Grunge rock pioneer that has echoes of his own 2015 music video.
As loudwire.com reported: “Chris Cornell is one of many men on death row, sentenced to die by hanging. Viewers witness the executions of a few prisoners as Cornell awaits his fate, with the video switching between the scene and shots of Chris performing ‘Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart,’ at times with Eric Roberts, in his cell. You may think Cornell’s life has come to an end, but thanks to the work of a special friend, an unexpected twist concludes the clip.”
Cornell is hanged, but a special rope-burning fluid from his bride-to-be saves him from death.
The Washington Post reported that “the banshee-voiced singer in the seminal Seattle band Soundgarden killed himself in a hotel room after playing a Wednesday night concert with the group, authorities said.”
“Cornell, 52, was found dead early Thursday in his room at the MGM Grand Detroit, police said. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death as suicide by hanging.”
His fixation with hanging also was documented on social media.
