MSNBC franchise player Rachel Maddow has been out sick 10 days, and fans of the Liberal Lion are getting antsy, if not outright panicky.

“I am really getting concerned and I’m not alone. She has been ‘under the weather’ for almost a week now and she hasn’t tweeted either during this time,” wrote Daily Kos blogger LibbyD. “Now I am not quick to jump to conclusions but this thought crossed my mind before she was even sick.

“To think she is on the Kremlin’s radar is not absurd. Her journalism is remarkable and I think she’s getting closer and closer to the truth. We all know what Putin does to his critics and opposition leaders. Will he go as far to do something to Rachel?”

Terror on Twitter (where Maddow hasn’t tweeted for three days):

  • “Where the heck is Rachel?? She is never sick this long. Seriously.”

    • A CNN newsletter said Monday night: “She last hosted on MSNBC on Thursday, May 25. Ari Melber filled in on the first night and again three times last week. Joy Reid filled in once last week and again on Monday night. No word on what Maddow’s specific ailment is, but she called in to the Melber-led show on Friday.”
