Merck pharmaceutical company’s CEO is being hailed as a hero of conscience after quitting President Trump’s American Manufacturing Council in a dispute over neo-Nazis and the KKK.

“[Kenneth] Frazier, who is black, resigned from the council Monday morning in a statement that alluded to Donald Trump’s already-infamous claim that ‘many sides’ were responsible for the deadly violence that broke out at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday,” noted Slate.

Trump on Twitter couldn’t resist responding to Frazier’s move, criticizing the big pharma honcho for too-high drug prices.

Despite Frazier being flogged earlier on social media for Merck’s sympathy with efforts to reform Obamacare, social media were cheering the CEO.

“You’re not intimidated by the bully nor willing to condone white racists!” said one on Twitter.

“Kenneth Frazier for President!” said another.

Bur @realDonaldTrump had his word on Frazier, saying: “Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President’s Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!”
