Frank Scurlock, a Democratic candidate for mayor of New Orleans, apparently had too much sex fun in Santa Monica in February. It didn’t end well.
According to The Advocate newspaper, a female Uber driver “told police and prosecutors she was driving on a freeway near Santa Monica when she heard sounds coming from the back seat….. Concluding that Scurlock was masturbating, the driver pulled over and opened the door.”
Quoting Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White, the Louisiana paper continued: “When she did, she allegedly found Scurlock with his pants around his ankles, his shirt pulled up and his erect penis in his hand.”
Now Scurlock is facing a misdemeanor count of lewd conduct, with arraignment set Oct. 16 in Los Angeles County Criminal Court — two days after the mayoral primary.
The Advocate quoted Scurlock as saying: “Someone made a claim against me that I’ve hired representation out there to defend it, but quite frankly I don’t know what it’s about.”
Scurlock later said: “I have no idea what I’m being charged with. What you just told me is more than I know.”
Uproxx.com added: “Ironically enough, Scurlock has been running on a platform that includes ‘Uberizing’ NOLA’s police force.
“He told Inside New Orleans this summer that he wants to develop an Uber-like app for law enforcement ‘so when you call for help, you can know where the responding officers are and how soon they’ll get to you.’”
