Rob Lowe’s home didn’t burn in the Thomas Fire, but flames came close. Over the weekend, the hot actor turned up the heat — grilling cheeseburgers for about 20 Southland firefighters at his home near Montecito.
(Also serving pasta, salad and others savories.)
“Thank you to all the crews from all over the country who stood tall and saved my town. #respect #gratitude,” Lowe said on Instagram with his son Matthew Lowe. “Dinner for new friends at our house.”
On Twitter, one post remarked that Lowe “opened up his home to firefighters for showers and a hot meal. They hadn’t had either in over a week.”

Shout out actor Rob Lowe. The Thomas Fire has destroyed 300,000 acres. Yesterday, Montecito, CA was evacuated but Rob stayed. Instead, he opened up his home to firefighters for showers and a hot meal. They hadn’t had either in over a week.
What a stellar guy! That’s my America.
