Mike Tyson wants to become the heavyweight champ of marijuana tycoons. At least he hopes to chew off a piece of the market.

With a “cannabis resort” 60 miles southwest of Death Valley called Tyson Ranch, the pop culture figure “will be dedicating 20 acres of their land for cultivation facilities that ‘will allow master growers to have maximum control of their environment,’” says The Blast.

“There will also be a Tyson Cultivation School to teach growers the latest and greatest ways to perfect their own strains.”

Fortune says Tyson has been a cannabis advocate for years and is a big proponent of using cannabidiol (CBD), “which has the same non-hallucinogenic properties as marijuana, to help veterans who suffer from PTSD.”

The Washington Post said the groundbreaking ceremony included two of Tyson’s business partners, Robert Hickman and Jay Strommen, and California City Mayor Jennifer Wood.

“She said the ranch would help engineer a ‘rebirth’ for her town, a planned city that never flourished in the way its 1950s developers envisioned.
