In a rare move, a film moved back into first place at the nation’s box offices, as “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” returned to the top spot at the North American box office Sunday.

The Sony release earned $11 million this weekend, seven weeks after its release. It has now grossed $352.6 million domestically, an “impressive” and “smash” showing, said movie industry tracker Paul Dergarabedian at comScore.

“Maze Runner: The Death Cure” had debuted as number one last week, but slipped to second with $10.2 million in weekend sales, for a 10-day take of $39.9 million.

The only movie opening in wide release this week finished third. The Helen Mirren horror film “Winchester” is based on an eccentric San Jose resident, and it debuted at $9.3 million.

In fourth place, “The Greatest Showman” was estimated to take in $7.8 million this weekend, and $137.5 million over seven weeks.

And a western, “Hostiles,” was in fifth place with a $5.5 million weekend and $21.2 million in cumulative sales.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular films in the United States and Canada, as estimated by the studios and collected by comScore, were “The Post” ($5.2 million),  “12 Strong” ($4.7 million), “Den Of Thieves” ($4.7 million), “The Shape Of Water” ($4.3 million) and “Paddington 2” ($3.1 million).
