A panel discussion with the cast and producers of the hit first-season ABC medical drama “The Good Doctor” will be held Thursday evening at the Dolby Theatre as part of the 35th annual PaleyFest LA.

The panel discussion is set to begin at 8:20 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the Paley Center Facebook page.

An episode will be screened at 7:30 p.m.

The panel consists of cast members Freddie Highmore, Nicholas Gonzalez, Hill Harper, Richard Schiff and Tamlyn Tomita and executive producers David Shore and Daniel Dae Kim.

“The Good Doctor” is the most-watched new drama of the 2017-18 season and fourth most-watched entertainment series, according to live-plus-same-day figures released by Nielsen.

“`The Good Doctor’s message of inclusiveness resonates with our viewers and is a hallmark of what we aim to accomplish here at ABC,” ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said March 7 when announcing the network has ordered a second season. “This series has quickly joined the zeitgeist and broken records in the competitive television landscape.”

Highmore received a Golden Globe nomination for best performance by an actor in a television drama for his portrayal of Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome who relocates from a rural area to join a prestigious hospital’s surgical unit.

“The Good Doctor” is based on a Korean series Kim saw and said he “loved the message of.”

“The primary thing that made me really want to pursue this show and bring it to American audiences is the fact that the character of Shaun… is someone who was born with a set of obstacles,” said Kim, who portrayed Honolulu Police Department Lt. Chin Ho Kelly on the CBS crime drama “Hawaii Five-0” from 2010-17.

“The obstacles were not put in his own way by his own choices. In so many dramas that we see today, we see people getting in their own way. But Shaun is not one of those people. Shaun is trying to overcome his obstacles and overcome his challenges in a way that I could wholeheartedly root for.”

Tickets for the program are priced from $40-$90 for the general public and $30-$72 for Paley Center members. They can be purchased on the Paley Center’s website, media.paleycenter.org.

Tickets are also available for Saturday’s PaleyFest programs on “Mom” and “Queen Sugar.”

The festival is billed by organizers as a pop culture experience that connects fans with the casts and creators of their favorite television series. The programs consist of never-before seen episodes and exclusive clips packages created for the event and panel discussions.

Here is the schedule for the remainder of the festival:
