Tiger Woods and Fred Couples will serve as non-playing captains for the Genesis Open’s inaugural Celebrity Cup Monday at The Riviera Country Club.
Actors Mark Wahlberg and Oliver Hudson, musician Kid Rock, “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison, former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, Arizona Cardinals star receiver Larry Fitzgerald, talk show host Carson Daly and social media personality Paige Spiranac are among the scheduled participants in the team match play competition on Riviera’s closing nine.
The Collegiate Showcase and ActivePDF Pro-Am will also be held Monday.
The Collegiate Showcase begins at 8 a.m. and features an individual stroke-play competition with the winner earning a spot in the Genesis Open’s 144-player field.
The Collegiate Showcase’s 12-player field includes USC sophomore Kaito Onishi and UCLA senior Cole Madey.
The Collegiate Showcase also includes a pro-am style event with teams consisting of a PGA Tour pro and two amateurs representing their alma mater.
PGA Tour pros expected to compete include Bill Haas, J.B. Holmes, Beau Hossler and Kevin Tway.
The ActivePDF Pro-Am begins at 9 a.m. with a field including Jim Furyk, Hunter Mahan and Sam Saunders, a grandson of the late golfing legend Arnold Palmer.
Admission is $25 in advance, $35 at the box office. Parking is located at Paul Revere Charter Middle School, 13103 Sunset Blvd. Shuttle service will be provided from Longworth Drive to The Riviera Country Club from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Riviera Country Club is closed to the public on Tuesday. The pro-am will be held Wednesday. Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the box office.
Tournament play begins Thursday, with ticket prices beginning at $55 in advance and $65 at the box office.
