Mandy Patinkin, an award winning actor and American entertainer best known for his portrayal of Inigo Montoya in the 1987 film “The Princess Bride,” hits the stage Saturday at the McCallum Theatre.
Patinkin, who has performed on Broadway, television and the big screen, is also a recording artist who has released two solo albums.
He will join pianist Adam Ben-David for a show titled “Diaries,” described by event organizers as a marriage of Broadway and classic American musical hits.
In his 1980 Broadway debut, Patinkin won a Tony Award for his role as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita,” directed by Hal Prince.
Patinkin also won a 1995 Emmy Award for his performance in the CBS series “Chicago Hope.”
