The 1947 holiday film “Miracle on 34th Street” will return to the big screen for Christmas Wednesday at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
Starring Natalie Wood, Edmund Gwenn, Maureen O’Hara and John Payne, the classic holiday film tells the story of a department store Santa Claus who is declared insane and put on trial for believing himself to be the real Kris Kringle.
The film won three Oscars in 1948, including best writing, screenplay and actor in a supporting role for Gwenn.
“Miracle on 34th Street” will screen at 5 p.m. Cost is $12 for adults, $7 for seniors and $7 for students.
The Palm Springs Cultural Center, Camelot Theatres, is located at 2300 E Baristo Road.
