A vehicle crashed into a home in Paramount Tuesday morning, killing the driver.
The crash occurred about 1:10 a.m. in the 16600 block of Downey Avenue, near Harrison Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
James Lee, 20, died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and the sheriff’s department. His city of residence was not known.
Arriving deputies found the driver trapped in the wreckage. There were people inside the home at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported.
A preliminary investigation determined speed was a factor in the crash, the LASD said.
