An attorney for Soulja Boy states in new court papers that a blogger and a “Bad Boys” cast member are both evading service of the rapper’s lawsuit, which alleges both defamed him when the reality television figure said during an online interview that he had a sexual relationship with the”Crank That” singer.

In a filing brought Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, lawyer Jacque L. Shirley asks Judge Lia Martin for more time to serve blogger Latasha “Tasha K” Kebe and William the Baddest, who also was a member of the cast of “Chasing: L.A.”

“Despite multiple good faith efforts, defendants have actively and successfully evaded personal service,” according to Shirley’s court papers, which further state that Soulja Boy wants to hire a private investigator firm to locate and track the pair’s movements to determine the best way to serve them, which will require additional time.

If Tasha K and William the Baddest cannot be located, Soulja Boy’s lawyer is asking that service be allowed in a newspaper that is likely to give notice to the pair, or by leaving a copy of the suit at their residence or usual place of business and mailing a copy later.

A hearing on the motion is scheduled March 27.

According to the suit, William the Baddest said on Tasha K’s podcast last May 16 that he and Soulja Boy “were involved in a sexual relationship,” remarks that have negatively affected the performer’s professional and personal life.

Soulja Boy was left “fueled with anxiety and anger and afraid for his reputation,” according to the suit brought last July 16, which further states that William the Baddest’s statements are “an embarrassment and disgrace” to the point that Soulja Boy’s fans could abandon or withdraw support for the rapper, causing him “great and irreparable injury.”
