A tree fell onto power lines in Silver Lake Thursday, knocking out electrical service to about 2,300 customers for about four hours, authorities said.
The tree fell across the 2100 block of Griffith Park Boulevard, taking out overhead power lines and blocking the road about 6 a.m.
Power was restored about 10 a.m., but city crews continued working to cut up the tree and remove it, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
