A 23-year-old man hiking near Point Fermin Park in San Pedro Sunday fell approximately 50 feet from a damp dirt trail onto some rocks, and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 9:51 a.m. to the 4100 block of South Pacific Avenue. They hoisted the man from the scene with a helicopter and took him to an area hospital, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
