A temporary closure of the Interstate 405 off-ramp to Century Boulevard is expected to cause some traffic delay for motorists heading to Los Angeles International on Friday night and this weekend, airport authorities announced Thursday.
The closure of the ramp, which is for an Inglewood road construction project, will happen from 9 p.m. on Friday through 5 a.m. on Monday.
Changeable message signs will direct motorists attempting to reach Century Boulevard from the northbound 405 to use the Manchester Avenue exit, and motorists heading to LAX from the south are advised to use 105 west and Sepulveda Boulevard or other alternate routes.
At least one lane of Century Boulevard will stay open in each direction in the construction area east of the airport, while the southbound 405 freeway on- and off-ramps at Century Boulevard, as well as the on-ramp to northbound 405, also will remain open, the airport said.
The airport also tweeted other potential traffic issues.
