A pedestrian was killed Sunday on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Bell, authorities said.
The incident was reported just before 3 a.m. on the southbound Long Beach Freeway just south of Slauson Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
The coroner was called to the scene at about 3:40 a.m., the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued shutting down all southbound 710 lanes just south of Slauson Avenue at about 3:15 a.m. The far right lane was reopened at 4:10 a.m. All lanes were reopened at 4:37 a.m.
