Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is scheduled to be in Minnesota Saturday and Sunday to speak at a political event and a fundraiser for Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minnesota.
Garcetti, who is exploring a run for the presidency, is set to be the keynote speaker at the 2018 Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’s Founders Day in St. Paul on Saturday, where other speakers will include Smith, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, and Rep. Tim Walz, the party’s candidate for governor. On Sunday, Garcetti plans to speak at a fundraiser for Smith.
Over the past month, Garcetti has traveled to Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Mississippi and Oklahoma to stump for Democratic candidates.
