A man was injured Sunday morning in a fire at a vacant commercial building in Sun Valley, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 4:04 a.m. at 8165 N. Sunland Blvd., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
When firefighters arrived, they found downed power lines in back of the building, and evidence of a previous fire, Stewart said. It took them 24 minutes to put out the flames.
The injured man was found near the site of the fire and was treated at the scene for what were believed to be critical injures, she said. It is unclear whether he was hospitalized or his current condition.
A second floor interior loft sustained most of the damage, but Stewart said the amount and cause remains under investigation.
