Flames damaged a vacant gas station in Koreatown Friday, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 1:12 a.m. at 3170 West Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

First arriving firefighters could see the flames when they arrived outside the one-story building, Stewart said.

It took 52 firefighters 19 minutes to put out the blaze, she said.

Firefighters checked the building twice and made sure no one was inside at the time of the fire, Stewart said. No injuries were reported.
