One person was hospitalized Friday evening in unknown condition with injuries sustained in a three vehicle crash on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Arcadia that overturned vehicle and prompted the closure of all westbound lanes of the roadway.
The crash occurred near the Baldwin Avenue exit about 8:50 p.m. when a vehicle stalled out in the No.1 lane of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. As it was being pushed to the right side of the freeway, it became involved in a crash with two other vehicles.
There were CHP reports that one of the vehicles was overturned and children were trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene after getting a report of people trapped, but could not confirm the ages or conditions of any patients, the Arcadia Fire Department said.
The CHP said one patient was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
The accident prompted the closure of the westbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway until about 10:15 p.m.
