Firefighters extinguished a house fire Sunday in the Rancho Park area of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze inside a home at 2709 S. Greenfield Ave., just north of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, occurred about 4:20 p.m., said fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Firefighters encountered excessive storage conditions which hampered their efforts, Stewart said.
The department sent 36 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 16 minutes, she said.
The extent of the damage was not immediately clear.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
