Fire damaged the contents of a vacant one-story home in Venice Monday evening, but was extinguished in 13 minutes.
The fire was first reported at 10:09 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Marian Place, near Venice Boulevard, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The flames were extinguished by a total of 12 firefighters in 13 minutes and a search of the home confirmed no one was inside, Prange said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
