Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire inside a home Sunday in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze inside the house at 2130 W. 37th Place was reported at 7:18 p.m., said fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The department sent 39 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 12 minutes, Stewart said.
One 57-year-old woman was evaluated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, Stewart continued. There’s no word yet on her condition.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, she added.
