It took 98 firefighters 23 minutes Sunday to put out flames inside a single-story commercial building downtown, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 10:17 p.m. at 837 East Commercial St., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Flames were showing from the 4,000 square-foot building when firefighters arrived, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported, he said.
The building was believed to be used for Metro transit storage, Humphrey said.
