A broken fire sprinkler pipe resulted in flooding at a five-story apartment building in the Van Nuys area Friday.
Firefighters were sent to the 6800 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard at 10:23 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The broken pipe was on the third-floor stairwell and “significantly impacted the floors below,” according to the LAFD. No injuries were reported.
Crews were working to remove the water and repair the problem.
