Firefighters extinguished a fire this evening in a Sherman Oaks guesthouse that left one woman suffering from possible smoke inhalation, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze broke out about 7:30 p.m. in one unit of a three-unit guesthouse at 4412 Matilija Ave., said fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The department sent 20 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in under 15 minutes, Humphrey said.
One woman was being evaluated for smoke inhalation, Humphrey said.
There was no word yet on her condition.
