A silver alert was issued in Los Angeles County Wednesday evening for a 60-year-old woman who suffers from a medical condition and went missing in San Pedro.
Delores Johnson was last seen Tuesday about 6 a.m. near West 10th Street and South Grand Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. She may have been wearing a navy Puma sweat suit.
Johnson is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She suffers from a medical condition and may become disoriented, the CHP reported.
Authorities circulated a photo of Johnson and encouraged anyone who sees her to call 9-1-1.
The purpose of the Silver Alert program is to establish a quick response system designed to issue and coordinate alerts following the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of an elderly person, or a person who is developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired, according to the CHP.
