A hazardous materials team was sent to investigate a report of a strange odor in Chatsworth and Santa Clarita Tuesday, but no odors or gases were detected.
County fire crews and hazmat units responded to both areas about 9:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire department referred questions to officials at the South Coast Air Quality Management District, who could not be reached.
