A pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle on Imperial Highway in Whittier was a resident of that city, authorities said.
Adrian Daniel Castro was 33, coroner’s Capt. John Kades said.
The accident occurred near Duffield Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Details of what led up to the deadly crash were not immediately disclosed and it was unclear if the driver remained at the scene.
