Authorities Monday sought public help to find the hit-and-run motorist responsible for fatally injuring a pedestrian in Pico Rivera.

Deputies sent to the 8500 block of Washington Boulevard about 9:45 p.m. Sunday found the injured man lying on the roadway, said sheriff’s Lt. Michael Verlich of the Pico Rivera Station.

The man, about 30-40 years of age, died at a hospital, Verlich said. Information was not immediately available on his identity.

No description was available of the hit-and-run vehicle. Investigators were reviewing security images from the area, which includes some from commercial properties, Verlich said.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the sheriff’s Pico Rivera Station at 562-949-2421.
