Authorities Friday identified a motorist who was killed, along with his passenger, when his vehicle rear-ended a big rig in Wilmington.
The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of East Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Isaac Muriel, 22, of Wilmington and his passenger died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office. Authorities withheld the name of the passenger pending family notification.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
