A five-acre brush fire broke out Monday afternoon in Shadow Hills, but a multi-agency response stopped its spread within about an hour.
The blaze was reported around 3:10 p.m. near the 8300 block of West La Tuna Canyon Road, about a half-mile south of the Foothill (210) Freeway.
The Los Angeles Fire Department, assisted by county, Glendale and Angeles National Forest crews, halted the fire’s spread about 4:10 p.m., with no injuries or structure damage reported.
La Tuna Canyon Road was closed to traffic south of the Foothill (210) Freeway, according to the LAFD.
