One person was killed Saturday morning in a crash on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Pacoima.
The crash occurred at the connector to the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway at 2:35 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers who arrived at the scene found a white van that had crashed into a guardrail and one person trapped inside the van, which was facing the wrong way, the CHP said.
Details of what led up to the crash were not available.
The age, gender and name of the person killed were not disclosed.
