Authorities Tuesday identified two motorists who were killed in a wrong-way crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Montrose.

Nicole Ardon, 23, of Sunland, and James Haddid, 27, of Pasadena died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 2:45 a.m. Monday on the eastbound 210 west of Rosemont Avenue.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Vince Ramirez, Ardon was behind the wheel of a 2016 Mazda 3 and was driving the wrong way on the freeway when her car collided with Haddid’s 2014 Honda Civic.

A male passenger in the Mazda, who is from Granada Hills, was taken to a hospital with major burn injuries to his arms, legs and face, the CHP reported.

All eastbound freeway lanes were closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted. Anyone with information on the crash was urged to call the CHP Altadena Area office at 626-296-8100.
