Firefighters extinguished a house fire Saturday evening in West Hills that left a 69-year-old man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The blaze, which heavily damaged a home at 23138 Baltar St., was reported around 7:45 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The department dispatched 26 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in under 40 minutes, Stewart said.
The nature of the man’s injuries were not immediately disclosed.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, she said.
