About 100 firefighters worked to put out a fire Saturday evening in a two-story commercial building in the unincorporated Florence area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 6:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Slauson Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
After a partial roof collapse, firefighters focused their efforts on a defensive battle, fighting the flames from outside the structure and protecting surrounding structures, he said.
The main fire was out as of 8 p.m. but firefighters continued to put out flames, he said.
No injuries were reported.
