A motorcyclist was rushed to an area trauma center from a crash possibly involving a vehicle that fled the scene Sunday from the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in South Gate, authorities said.
Details are still sketchy, but the crash on the northbound freeway, at Imperial Highway, occurred about 3:45 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics and firefighters dispatched to the scene at 3:47 a.m. rushed the motorcyclist to an area trauma center, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
