Flames in a wall damaged a South Los Angeles fourplex Saturday.
The fire was reported at 3:36 p.m. at 1059 E. 24th St. and appeared to be in the basement when firefighters arrived, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
Upon closer examination, firefighters determined the flames were in a wall, extending from the first to the second floor and may have been related to a wall heater, Stewart said.
Firefighters put out the flames in 34 minutes, she said. No injuries were reported.
